Kiwifarms and the future
#1

With the Kiwifarms now becoming a massive target, I fear for the future.

As someone who alone hosts websites and places for people to post shit and talk, it scares me cause this could mean the end to a lot of self hosted things.

I will always keep my services up as long as I can support them, but this still worries me that a great hobby of mine will be ruined simply because I won't censor speech against troons.

That's the nice thing. It can be hard to do what kiwifarms does when it hits critical mass and becomes impossible to manage, but we can still keep popping up. Webhosts will still ignorantly let anyone set up a board for anything, and most won't do anything until it becomes controversial. To that end, it's always possible to set up a network at home and run it mostly independently. Free speech online remains salvageable but only in small quantities and in blips in time.

Someone said kiwifarms is an idea and I'm sure they were joking but there is truth to it. We all predicate our experiences on removing filters and exposing reality and that sort of idea cannot be stopped or mitigated in its entirety.

Victory has never been about getting the last laugh. Victory is overcoming and persevering in the face of total hopelessness.

I feel the same way, I'll keep popping up servers and sites left and right.

I can archive this page and reupload under a new name, I can keep running the misskey node for as long as possible since it runs on my dell optiplex from 2009.

Even if the farms dies I'll be sad but I'm a cunt with servers and time.

that's the thing, as long as there's still an electricity in the world the internet will never die. You can never kill Kiwifarms, you'll only destroy yourself in the end with the worst way one could imagine.

I love how they were so preachy a few days ago like "we believe in freedom!" only bow out again like they did twice before.

I'd dump Cloudflare if I paid them anything.

They did it twice of course they'd do it a third time, once a cheater always a cheater. I hope Josh can get things up and running I hope that Lucas fucking dies a horrible miserable death. He fucking escaped the country the moment Josh pinned on his site how Lucas supports a tranny that bakes hormone therapy in his bathtub with plastics and sents it to children, telling them how to get it without their parents knowing.
Lord, I wish I could him and his ilk.

This will be a follow up post and I'll open the website so people from the outside can lurk if they wanna see the site, the bots have stopped attacking so far.

So, the past few days I've been working on FrenNet our Misskey instance, the server OS broke and the database corrupted, so the site has been purged and setup without any old data, server is online and better than ever, new hardware, and we run on Windows now xD.

Over this I put up Cloudflare and hCapcha services on FrenNet and it all finally started working.

I have another option for FrenNet I will be swapping back to my own proxy server I created, and chaing hcaptcha for recaptcha.

It pains me that normal Internet tools can revoke access for everything you setup and run without any notice or any communication.

I know I'm a small voice and what I say doesn't really matter, but I hope for the best, for Josh and the farms.

Godspeed may the old fags never die.

EDIT

Adding in that this post https://archive.ph/IS7Rx written by a black troon is somehow the most normie take in all of this mess, they don't want the Internet that Lucas does, they don't want the Internet in the way that we and farms do, but they understand all is needed to make the Internet the great powerhouse it is.

However I don't see anything getting better, the Internet will die.

I'm gonna keep posting here and keeping the forum alive the best as I can because the farms are still down as well.

Null has an update to post today, this is after a very promising phone call.

I'm excited to hear what's gonna happen next as what happens to the farms will effect us all.
